MOSCOW， Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Russia， Turkey and Iran have agreed to coordinate on reviving the political process in Syria， Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.
""We express readiness to facilitate the elaboration of an agreement drafted between the Syrian government and the opposition and to become its guarantors，"" Lavrov told a press conference after talks with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts in Moscow.
Tuesday's meeting came following the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov in a shooting in the Turkish capital of Ankara on late Monday.
The three sides agreed on the importance of expanding the ceasefire regime across Syria， as well as an unimpeded access of humanitarian aid and free movement of the civilian population across the Mideast country.
Lavrov said that they viewed the trilateral format of cooperation as the ""most effective"" for resolving the deadlock to reach a settlement in Syria on the basis of a United Nations Security Council resolution.
But he added that this format was not meant to cast a shadow on the efforts of other partners to achieve progress in resolving the Syrian crisis.
According to Lavrov， Russia， Turkey and Iran had adopted a joint statement on coordinated actions， which reaffirmed the respect to sovereignty， independence and territorial integrity of Syria as a multi-ethnic， democratic and secular state.
He added that their format is open for other countries interested in their joint efforts.

WASHINGTON， Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A curfew order was issued in the U.S. city of Charlotte， North Carolina， Thursday night as hundreds of protesters marched relatively peacefully through downtown to protest the fatal police shooting of a black man for the third night.
Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts issued the curfew order， which will go into effect beginning midnight until 6 a.m. next morning， the City of Charlotte said in a tweet.
The curfew will be in effect each day until the end of the state of emergency is declared or until the official proclamation is revoked， it added.
North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory declared a state of emergency in Charlotte on Wednesday night. He also ordered the deployment of the state's National Guard and State Highway Patrol to assist local law enforcement forces in restoring order in the city.
A number of National Guard troops and riot police were monitoring closely the demonstration after two nights of violent unrest， in which 17 police officers were wounded and 44 protesters arrested.
During Thursday's march that started in a park， the protesters once blocked an intersection near the Bank of America headquarters in the business district， local media reports said.
TV video showed that some pr otesters held up posters saying ""Stop killing us，"" ""Resistance is Beautiful，"" and ""Release the tapes.""
